Workshop Overview

The FOCCE program invites you to explore practical ways to include forest carbon management into private land stewardship. This FREE workshop includes a welcome reception, classroom sessions, field tours, and bonus educational sessions. Space is limited for in person attendees. An online version of the workshop is available for those who are unable to travel. Continuing education credits are available!

This event is led by extension educators from Penn State University and Tuskegee University,

Guest speakers are from Alabama A&M, Auburn University, Mississippi State, NRCS offices and the USDA Southeastern Climate Hub.

Hotel & Travel Information 

 Shuttle pick up will be provided to the University from the hotel for each day of the workshop. Take advantage of the group room rate by calling 833- 598- 2063 or booking via the hotel’s online group block.

Accommodations and group room discounts are available at The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center

The hotel is located just 30 minutes from Tuskegee University and is in the heart of downtown Auburn, making it easy for out of town guests to walk to dinner. 

Transportation

Transportation from the airport to the hotel will be arranged through Groome Transportation. 

The Carbon Pathways workshop will offer free daily shuttles to Tuskegee's campus from the Auburn Hotel- conveniently located on Auburn's campus. We highly encourage all participants to utilize the shuttle, even if they are local to the area as parking at Tuskegee Campus is limited.
